A Higher Calling

2 Timothy 1: 3-12

Nobody becomes a wonder overnight! We don’t just step onto the scene out of nowhere, as if we’ve suddenly arrived. No, there have been seeds sown in us—deposits made over time. God has been working behind the scenes, placing purpose, calling, and gifting deep within us. And now, those seeds are beginning to sprout. They carry immense value. They carry immense potential to transform our world, to bring light where there’s darkness, and to make a real difference!

And that’s why, when we look at this passage, we see Paul—this seasoned apostle—writing to young Timothy. He’s not just giving advice; he’s speaking life! He’s saying, “Don’t let your youth and opposition hold you captive. Don’t be intimidated! What’s in you is powerful. What’s in you is God-given. You’ve been called to a high calling, and now it’s time to rise up and walk in it!”
