Romans 8:28-29
And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.
Not everything that happens to us is good. Some experiences are painful, unjust and difficult to understand. So what does Scripture mean when it says that “all things work together for good”?

It is the work of conforming us to the image of Christ. Even amid suffering, weakness, waiting and groaning, the Spirit is at work. Evil does not become good—but it does not have the final word. Through the faith God gives and the grace He supplies, Christ is being formed in us, the hope of glory.
